Museums and sights
The district around us has plenty of monuments and museums.
Sarpsborg
At Borgarsyssel Museum : Sarpsborg history and Norwegian history dating back to the early viking-age.
Hafslund Hovedgård is worth a visit. The old buildings are well taken care of. Art history, industrial history and architecture in one. Maybe you'll meet the ghost of the strict head house parlourmaid Maren Juul? Rumour has it that Vidkun Quisling was sleeping over during world war II. He is said to have had a encounter with the ghost, and never wanted to go back to Sarpsborg again. (He was not missed).
Find more about our museums at Sarpsborg Turist.
